Tanki Online - Maps - BrestThe Brest map on Tanki is one of the largest in the game. Control Points, and Catch the flag battles are perhaps the most popular with players here although if sufficient numbers take part, a Team Death Match can be every bit as good. Death Match battles are not as common on the Brest map, but again if there are good numbers of players then it is well worthwhile. This is Shaft territory though Railgun and Vulcan can be every bit as effective in the right hands.
Ricochet, Railgun, Twins, Thunder, Firebird, Freeze, Isida, Smoky and Hammer on fast hulls are normally the combinations to use to grab flags and take over control points. Speed is of paramount importance here to dodge the shots from Shaft, Vulcan and Railgun. Brest is on a number of levels with a large two-storey building at each end. It is the upper level of these buildings where Shaft turrets normally lurk, looking for the next victim down below. Vulcan turrets also make use of this advantageous high ground but they are a little more vulnerable to enemy fire as they take a little time to load. On the lower levels there are two long bridges and although some are brave enough to cross them, most tanks use the next level down to navigate their way to the enemy base. Down here you will find ramps, some narrow passageways and other obstacles that making running a flag to home base at speed a little tricky in places. All five control points are on the lower level in the middle of the map but don't be fooled in to thinking that the likes of Shaft, Railgun cannot snipe you down here, because they can, and often do. Brest is available to players who hold the rank of Private and higher in the Ranks Structure. Take a quick tour of the Brest MapBelow is a "Real Time" tour of the Take a quick tour of the Brest Map, showing the flag positions and the routes between the two. It also shows many of the supplies drop points along the way.
Booster Drop Zones on the Brest MapBelow is the plan of the Brest map showing all the booster drop locations. As you might expect on a large map there is a good number of boosters to be collected with five Repair Kits, four Double Armour, a generous seven Double Damage, and twelve Speed Boosts. Isida is still a very useful turret on the Brest Map, serving as a healing station at home base. On the upper floors of the two buildings sits a Repair Box, which are very useful for the Shaft turrets that take up residence on this part of the map.
