Tanki Online - Maps - ChernobylThe Chernobyl map on Tanki is a medium to large sized map where Control Points, and Catch the flag battles are fantastic. Team Death Match and individual Death Match battles are every bit as good but seem to be less popular. The map is packed with variety, with a base at either end, a large building sandwiched between, a road network, bridges and a series of pathways that can be navigated, small wooden buildings scattered around, walls, and ramps although there are not many trees or shrubs.
The top of the central building is good for Shaft, Vulcan, Railgun, Thunder, Smoky and Ricochet for taking out defenders of the opposition flag and there are even some walls up there to get cover from enemy fire. There are plenty of routes to use to attack an enemy base including one that catches many teams unaware, which takes you round the back of each base. Ricochet, Railgun, Twins, Thunder, Firebird, Freeze, Isida and Hammer are the best weapons for flag catching, using a fast hull, but are also highly desirable as defensive tanks too. On each base there is ample opportunity for Shaft and Vulcan to get a decent line of sight and their share of kills. The Control Points are well laid out with a total of seven of them. Two are inside the central building, three more on top of this structure and one in front of each base. Chernobyl is available to players who hold the rank of Staff Sergeant and higher in the Ranks Structure. Booster Drop Zones on the Chernobyl MapBelow is the plan of the Chernobyl map showing all the booster drop locations. A good number of Speed Boosts are present and well place for launching a swift attack or retreat. The Double Damage boosters are also very well placed for both attacking and defensive duties, with two on either side of each base. Double Armour boosters though are positioned well for both defense and attacks. I am pretty sure this is one of the fairest map to play on Tanki though it is a shame the Repair Kits are not near the bases as well. Indeed they are not well placed at all which means the 'kill rate' should be quite high, which results in decent crystals earnings.
