Tanki Online - Maps - FutureThe Future map on Tanki is a small to medium sized map featuring a high rise structures, roads, bridges and plenty of obstacles to make navigation tricky and even hazerdous at times. It is one of the maps that is open to play for players that have only recently registered to play. The roofs of the two central buildings can be accessed by ramps. One of them has a single ramp and this rooftop can be hard to get to if a big enemy tank is already there. The other building has three ramps leading to the roof, which makes it a slightly harder position to defend.
There is an unusual feature on this map and that can be found next to the position of the red team flag. Running south from the flag is a culvert which is covered by a meshed metal grid sheet. This is a useful route for escaping with the flag but beware of the ramps that are part way down. If travelling at speed, you could flip your tank over and will eventually lose the flag. Catch the Flag and Death Match seem to be the most popular battles although Control Points, and Team Death Match do take place quite frequently. This is in part down to the Daily Missions, of which Future is a map that is used for this purpose, but also in part to the fact that it is a very good map to play with good variation. There are five control points when playing in that mode, with one on each of the accessible rooftops and the other three close to the bridged section. The bridges are good for firing on enemies below however enemy tanks of the rooftops gets easy shots at your tank at the same time. Railgun, Thunder, Ricochet, Smoky and even Twins are especially good for this. Shaft and Vulcan are very useful for defending the flag positions from the corners of the map and the rooftops also. Death Match and Team Death Match battles do not seem to too popular but they are no less fun or intense so they are always worth trying out. All in all, Future is a really fair map and among the best for small to medium sized battles, Future is available to players who hold the rank of Gefreiter and higher in the Ranks Structure. Take a quick tour of the Future MapBelow is a "Real Time" tour of the Future Map showing the two team flags, routes between them and supplies drop points.
Booster Drop Zones on the Future MapBelow is the plan of the Future map showing all the booster drop locations. You will find plenty of each booster type and the longer stretch of bridge is popular for trying to grab a repair kit, double armour and double damage on their way to attacking the enemy base and flag. There are repair kits next to both flag positions, offering some help to those defending the flags. There are a generous seven speed boosters on this map which really do help to run the flag back to your base quickly. The other double armour and double damage boosters are also well placed to mount attacks on the enemy base.
