Tanki Online - Maps - RiftThe Rift map on Tanki is a fairly small map in terms of surface area but it made a little bigger by the two raised concrete section on two sides that run between the two flag positions. Between these two structures is a grassy area that slopes down from one end and rises back up at the other with a large bunker at either end. This is by far the quickest route for escape in Catch the Flag battles, the most popular mode on this map, but by no means the safest. It is however preferably to trying to negotiate the slopes and 90 degree bends of the concrete structure, where there are places for enemy tanks to conceal themselves.
The bridge that connects the two structures does not get used too often other than to go from one side to the other. It appears to have little advantage in actual battle due to it's height and the metal girders on either side. Death Match, Control Points and Team Death Match battles can be created here but they seem to be less common but are good games even when there are not too many players, thanks to the number of places to hide. It is not uncommon to be able to hit an enemy tank without them knowing where the shot was fired from though as much of the map has lots of decent lines of sight. Shaft, Vulcan, and Railgun have the opportunity to dominate battles on Rift but Thunder and Smoky are also very useful for the longer range shots. Ricochet, Twins, Hammer, Firebird, Freeze, and Isida with fast hulls are the primary weapons for attacking bases and catching flags where player numbers are higher. It is not a map that I have played too often, compared to several others but all the battles I have participated in have been really good, although I have been on the receiving end of some heavy defeats. Rift is available to players who hold the rank of Staff Sereant and higher in the Ranks Structure. Booster Drop Zones on the Rift MapBelow is the plan of the Rift map showing all the booster drop locations. A lot of the map in it's original form is actually out of bounds, and by trying to access these parts result in a self-destruction. There are two double damage boosters in the northern part of the map, separated by a wall, plus two double damage boosters and two repair kits in each half of the map. There are no speed boosters on the Farm map, as there is no real need for them.
