Tanki Online - Maps - RioRio is a medium sized map and is one of the most popular battlefields. It is rare to play a game here with low numbers, meaning the majority of battles are really good. The focal point here are a series of buildings in the centre of the map which are connected by ramps and bridges across the rooftops. Down below there is also a narrow alleyway between the buildings which offers another route to attack or retreat. To the north of the buildings is a raised grassed section which makes a good position for the likes of Shaft, Railgun, Smoky and Hammer to snipe at enemy tanks below and on the top of the buildings, where flag running is very common.
To the south of the buildings is another stretch of grassland which then becomes a beach as it approaches the sea, which is another good place for the snipers. As far as I can make out, this is the only water feature in any of the Tanki Online maps. Take your tank in to the water and you will self-destruct. Catch the flag battles are almost always well attended with the maximum number of players nearly all the time. There are five Control Points, three of them on the roof tops, one on the raised section in the north, the last one is on the beach to the south. Control Points, Death Match and Team Death Match battles are also normally very well attended. Rio is available to players who hold the rank of Gefreiter and higher in the Ranks Structure. Booster Drop Zones on the Rio MapBelow is the plan of the Rio map showing all the booster drop locations. There are two repair kits, both close to the team flag positions. There are three double armour boosters, with two of these on the roof tops near the team flag positions and the third one in a little alleyway between the two bases, between the buildings. Rio has a generous four double damage boosters, again two of these are on the roof tops near the team flag positions. plus one near the beach and one on top of the raised grassland, both in a central location. There are just two speed boosters, both on the road to the north of the buildings, quite near to the team flag positions.
