Tanki Online - Maps - ZoneZone is a small map and one that is not especially easy to play at times. All it takes is for one player to use a big gun, with a strong hull, a good supply of boosters and an Isida tank next to them to completely ruin the battle experience for opponents in a team battle. I have sen this done a few times on this map and due to that, I now tend to keep away as it can be a thoroughly miserable and highly frustrating experience when you are getting blown away with little chance of even inflicting a degree of damage that remotely worries that tank. Thankfully this is about the only map in Tanki Online where this can happen, so perhaps if you have masochistic tenancies then this might be the ideal choice of battlefield to satisfy your desires.
On a normal battle, most players can get a high number of enemy tanks destroyed, with perhaps the exception of Shaft as there is not really anywhere for them to hide and are soon destroyed when they appear. Firebird will normally dominate here and in team battles it is common to see both sides with at least two or three of the tanks scurrying around. Freeze, Isida, Hammer, Ricochet, Smoky and Railgun can all play their part though. Lighter hulls are quite typical here too as there is a need to be able to move quite swiftly to attack or run away. The Catch the Flag battles are excellent, even if there is only two or three in each team and the same applies for Control Points, as the small is so condensed. Death Match and Team Death match battles with six or more players in total are also very good, in a normal battle. The team flags are at opposite ends of the map, at the base of each of the two girder bridges, and here is one of those rare occasions where there is a direct line of fire between the two. There are three Control Points in that game mode with one replacing the central repair kit and one on each bridge at either end of the map. Zone is available to players who hold the rank of Warrant Officer 1 and higher in the Ranks Structure. Take a quick tour of the Zone MapBelow is a "Real Time" tour of the Take a quick tour of the Zone Map Map, showing the flag positions and the routes between the two. It also shows many of the supplies drop points along the way.
Booster Drop Zones on the Zone MapBelow is the plan of the Zone map showing all the booster drop locations. With the exception of the one repair kit, which is replaced by a Control Point in that mode of battle, there are two of each booster on the battlefield, equally shared by each half. These of course are grabbed before they even hit the ground in many cases, so if you see one laying on its marker for a few seconds you might want to take a picture of it as it is quite rare.
