Tanki Online Turrets - Hammer
Hammer is essentially a shotgun on tracks, and is a powerful small turret. It is capable of firing off 3 quick shots dealing very high damage (after Micro Upgrades). As good as Hammer is, there is a down side. After every third shot, it has to reload and this process is very slow when you first purchase one and it leaves you very vulnerable to nearby enemy tanks. Once you let off the third shell it is wise to move away as fast as possible to try and avoid enemy fire. The chances are that will be picked off unless you have double armour enabled.
In most cases, a Hammer with Double Damage boosters will destroy other tanks with a single shot or two at the most, however the very heavy hulls such as Titan and Mammoth are going to take a few more shots in most cases. The sound, as with most turrets in the game is very distinctive, making a load shotgun kind of noise. |

Tactics and tips when using Hammer
- While the strength of firepower with Hammer is important, increase the firing range in the micro upgrades as a priority. Hammer can be deadly at range though in the early days is quite vulnerable.
- As with Freeze, if you are one of the players that struggles to move the turret and shoot while moving, it is best to try and approach all your enemy tanks from behind or the side wherever possible. This is more important when you first use Hammer when the firing range is quite limited.
- The next most important micro upgrade is the reload time. The quicker your Hammer can reload, the sooner you can start firing at enemy tanks. In the meantime, when you let off your third shot, run and hide if possible until the reload is completed.
