Tanki Online Turrets - Ricochet
Ricochet turrets can be a little difficult to control at times but it is ideal for short to mid-range battles. Ricochet possesses a unique feature - it can fire shells that ricochet off walls, which essentially allows it to shoot around corners where enemy tanks think they are safe. On the down-side, if a shell ricochets off a wall and comes back at your own hull, it does damage it.
Ricochet is a powerful and effective gun turret and one of my favourites for certain maps such as Noise and Polygon. Ricochet will automatically aim up or down ramps at enemy tanks and if the ramp is too steep, you may be able to bounce a shell off the ramp on the underside of the enemy tank's hull.
When playing against lighter hulls you can watch your enemy being bounced all over the battlefield as the strong shells impact. In truth I do not enjoy playing against Ricochet under such circumstances but it happens so often.

Tactics and tips when using Ricochet
- The most obvious tactic for Ricochet is to shoot against walls, letting the rounds bounce off them at angles and in to the path of an enemy tank. When you fire, pay attention to the sounds you here in the next second or two. If you hit a tank, the sound is obvious and you know you are firing in the right place. If you do not here that sound, change your view to that of a bird. Using the [ and ] keys, or Page Up and Page Down keys to change the angle of view. By getting a bird's eye view, you can still see where enemy tanks are gauge where you are firing your rounds.
- Ricochet has a powerful recoil so it is worth considering buying a Viking hull which is stable and with enough micro upgrades can move quite quickly. If you feel that Viking is not fast enough you can try sticking with the Hunter hull you are given at the beginning of your tanki career. I think Wasp and Hornet are a little too light in head to head combat in most cases or when struck from distance by the likes of Thunder, Railgun, Smoky, Shaft and other Ricochet guns. The Viking hull or stronger is a better option for defending in team games.
