Tanki Online - Maps - FactoryThe Factory map on Tanki is a small map on two levels, with a high-raised central platform which has four ramps making their way up. This is another one of the maps that is open to players from an early stage in their career, and is a very fair map in most cases. Both halves of the map, east and west, are identical in every detail, only in reverse.
Catch the Flag is very popular on Esplanade and these battles are great fun when good numbers of players take part. The flags are located on the lowest level, in two corners, which are partially protected by the metal legs of the central structure and ramps, indeed the line of sight on to each flag position is quite limited. This aspect of the map forces many tanks to get closer to the enemy than they ideal would want to try and destroy them. However, the raised platform can be an exceptional position to destroy enemy tanks below, and I have been part of a battle where we used three Ricochet turrets on this platform and totally dominated the game. Such a tactic is not much to play against though. As with a number of other maps, there three 'main' routes to attack each flag. Death Match seems to be the next most popular battle mode on the Factory map, but both Control Points and Team Death Match make for very good battles too. There are four control points in that battle mode with one in the middle of the raised platform. There is another directly under this point on the lower level. The other two control points are at the end of two sections that look like inspection pits. The platform at the highest point is quite interesting and has two features that are overlooked by many when they first play on this map. There are two small holes in the iron grid floor, and while they don't look like any special, they can effectively trap a hulls tracks. These can be very hard to escape and more often than not an enemy tank is going to get an easy kill. Factory is suitable for all turrets; Shaft, Vulcan, Railgun, Thunder, Smoky, Ricochet, Twins, Hammer, Firebird, Freeze, and Isida, and even Shaft and Railgun can find some long range sniping options Factory is available to players who hold the rank of Corporal and higher in the Ranks Structure. Take a quick tour of the Factory MapBelow is a "Real Time" tour of the Factory Map showing the two team flags, routes between them and supplies drop points.
Booster Drop Zones on the Factory MapBelow is the plan of the Factory map showing all the booster drop locations. There are two of each booster with the majority on the lower level. The only boosters on a higher level are the double armour boosters which are both on a small platform part way up two ramps that go up to the higher platform.
