Tanki Online - Maps - WolfensteinWolfenstein is a medium sized map and is stuffed with features that make playing a battle here really good fun. It is essentially a small German/Austrian/ Swiss style hamlet with fortifications creating what was once the defensive wall for the people living here. The pathway on top of all the fortified sections can be accessed, even those in the very centre of the battlefield, on the small raised section.
The flags are to be found in Catch the flag mode can be found on raised sections of the battlefield in the north west and south east corners. Each one has just two access ramps, one at either end of the raised section, which also has a couple of small buildings. The upper level has not really got much to offer if tanks use the subway to run the flag, so hanging around up here could be counter productive. Down below the flag positions is the 'city wall' which has one entry point for each team. There are however two routes round the outside of the fortification which are possibly used more for flag running. Inside the wall is a large pathway which you can take your tank round and another small raised section with four ramps up to it. On top of this central section are two more, smaller fortification which you can climb up to but there seems to little advantage of doing so, and it is impossible to turn your tank around should you want to. There are five Control Points in that game mode, with one in the raised central part of the battlefield. The remaining four are positioned in and around the central raised section, on the surrounding pathway. Death Match and Team Death Match battles are very good here if you can attract a sufficient number of players, with perhaps a minimum of six players to make it a worthwhile game. Wolfenstein is available to players who hold the rank of Sergeant and higher in the Ranks Structure. Booster Drop Zones on the Wolfenstein MapBelow is the plan of the Wolfenstein map showing all the booster drop locations. There are a good number of boosters here but the repair kits favour the red team flag position as there are two close by, whereas the blue team flag position has just one. This is offset by the uneven number of double damage boosters with four near the blue team flag and just three at the other end. The four double armour boosters and four speed boosters are much better distributed and equal for both teams.
